We all face the problem of acne in our teenage due to hormonal changes as when we hit puberty, the production of a hormone called androgen increases in both girls and boys. And at this stage, androgen makes the oil glands bigger which cause excess sebum production, and as a result, this blocks follicles and causes an overgrowth of acne bacteria.

In the age of 40s and 50s women often experience acne. This is the time when your menstruation ends and change in hormones like either a decline in estrogen levels or an increase in testosterone levels which may cause breakouts. Exfoliation is the key and this is something you should do more regularly. Exfoliation or getting rid of dead skin will help you in preventing and also treating acne problem.
Keep a spot treatment handy. Well, spot treatment is the key for treating pimples, for this you can use Benzoyl peroxide which is often vilified for being harsh, but when it comes to zapping a zit really, it becomes the best treatment. By just dabbing it on the spot to dry it out and kill bacteria.
